When I got my first pair of those I liked them so much I bought a second pair so I'd have them once my first pair wore out. Well, both pairs of those have now been in service long enough and for enough miles that I needed to get a new pair of shoes. After a false start with Saucony's Wave Ride 3s, I picked up a pair of Saucony Progrid Triumph 7 shoes.I have been running on these shoes for a few weeks now, and I can already tell a few things about them. First of all, they don't feel quite as comfortable as my Triumph 4s, especially when I'm walking. But, once I start running they feel better. I mean, they don't feel bad, they just seem to be maybe a little bit stiffer in the sole than the Triumph 4 shoes. As far as the shoe goes, you need to buy a size larger than your usual shoes. A running friend bought the Triumph 7 and warned me it was a much stiffer shoe and she was searching for a new brand. The Running Store provided the same warning that it had changed significantly. I think these shoes are awesome. First pair of Saucony's, but after this not sure I'll go back to NB, Nike, or Asics. Fit like a glove and my feet and legs feel great after a run. Love the arch lock, heel and toe box feel great. I've heard people with flat feet complain about the shoe, but I'd surely recommend them to anyone with normal to high arches not needing a stability shoe. I found they ran about 1/2 size small. I normally use a 10.5 and rarely an 11, I fit these at 11. |
