I use them as my day to day shoe, but they have been great on my hikes. I like wearing these when I travel because of the quick zip on/off cord. He liked them so much I bought his 2nd pair this year for his birthday. We are training for the Death Race again this year. It IS waterproof which helped with mud and the occasional water crossing on trails but under the direct heat of the sun, my feet were like in an oven. I sort of knew this coming in but I just really wanted to try this particular model.I haven't tried anything with a Gore-tex lining, a lightweight trail shoe, or anything in between. So I guess those are going to be on my next options. I am keeping this shoe though for colder runs. |
